Felt Slant: latest test ride.......

it looks like it does pretty well with just a regular clutch. can u discribe the performance difference compared to the CVT? awsome bike.watching those vids makes me want to build a 212.

The noticable performance difference is the front wheel doesn't aim for the heavens on take-off and there is a bit of chatter from the clutches initial engagement as opposesd to the smooth and constant pull the CVT offers to the top of the rpm's at WOT.

So in a nut shell it's very similar, less the take-off.

After I got home, I pulled the valve cover and re-torqued the head (after cooling of course). Then I re-set the valve lash, the valvetrain did loosen ever so slightly. Can't wait to get back to the track again.......

still,,,gonna stick with the 99, she's doing me just fine ;)

btw,,,do you know what the lash settings are for the 99 ?
