Placidscene, I have found a big ol' not bicycle helmet works great! No kidding, I can tell the difference when on very rare occasion, I forget to put it on.

Seems to be a subtle indicator that your on some thing going at motor speed and not on a regular bicycle.

I really, really hope that helps you. I've had a few close calls with the "pass & turn right" and the "pull out forcing an oh dang* moment" folks.

* not actually what I was yelling but close. Does begin with "OH"
I think you're on to something there. Helmets do seem to signal higher speeds to drivers.

No kidding BN, I really can tell the difference with and with out one. I got the thing cause I thought it was really cool looking. (Ayup, I are that child-like) Then noticed how traffic reacted to me. Then a good old face planting crash and it saved my nogen and face.

Don't mean to rant but man is it a simple save your butt device.

They have some great and off the-wall ones on ebay.

(I want the helicopter one now. Has 2 visors, lol)

Cool. Really like the visor. Goggles are to limiting. (too?)

Mine is this one but a brown leather like, Chinese finish. $25 and $30 shipping, snork.

It is just styrofoam inside but man does it bounce off pavement well!

Yours is cool. I haven't actually ever worn my RJs on my motor bicycle. I always wear my nutcase bicycle hat, mainly for legal reasons, as in I don't want to give the lawdog any wrong ideas.

I don't know about "upper echelon." lol Most stuff I build I "cobble together" with what I have laying around. I need to learn welding.

I will get the shorter intake and smaller jet soon.

I had a flat on my commute this morning, on the drive wheel!
The flat was caused by a sharp piece of sand!
I love that build I reccomend the kevlar lined tired from Academy sports. http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/s...0151_10051_37001_-1?Ntt=bicycle+tires&Ntk=All

I never had a flat running these tires. My road bike build was like yours except it was a friction drive but it was a blast. I used it to go all over Artesia NM. Once road by a bunch of millionaires at the golf corse and every one of em stopped their game and looked at me going by LOL!

I went to Acadamy to buy that tire. The one they had did not have near as much meat on it as the one in the pic on the link you showed. I found a Kenda tire on Ebay I think I will get. Ill post a pic after I purchase it.

I just bought the Tioga Bloodhound Cross Tire, 27 x 1-3/8 Wire Black Wall off Amazon.
It looks tuff! That in combo with the Sunlite Thorn Resistant Bicycle Tube and I don't think I'll have too many more flats!

I've thought about getting a full-face motorcycle helmet. Then talked myself out of it for some reason.

I'm currently running Bell Kevlar mtb tires on my mtb, and I will be running the Comfort tires on my MB. Currently have a front on it, works great.

At the rate Texas MB riders are showing up on the forum, we'll probably be having a Texas MB rally someday soon I hope.

That would be fun. Think you said your in Dallas. I can't travel much, but I'm starting to see a lot of MBs here in Austin. I might just notice them more now that I built one than I used to.

My wife is from there.
That looks like the same kit I got, with the exception that mine came with the CNS version 3 carb, which I have replaced with an NT carb because the clamp broke on the CNS.
