Transmission was mounted next. Here's a view of the bike as a whole.

Also done was the whole wide 3 piece conversion. I didn't take pictures of it cause it was a pain in my ass to get it done. What's neat about the kit I'm using is that I am able to retain and reuse all of the original Felt components (cups, sprocket etc.). The only thing I couldn't reuse was the one piece. So not now it's just like it was from the factory, only wider and with a three piece. I also painted the cranks. I will get better pictures of it. My cell is slowly crapping out on me especially when it come to pictures.

This is a cool build. I have been waiting for it sence I saw you were gonna buy the bike but just now realized it has been started. Looking forward to seeing it all set and done.

It's coming together nicely. Gas just hit $4.01 here. So I will be needing it. Sorry for the crappy pictures.

You gonna put a pipe on that thing Charles? Looking good so far.....

dnut

Yeah it's gonna have a nice one piece straight pipe to the back tire.

So, did you move?

I was unable to but have a full security system in place. Heat activated motion detector, full color night vision security camera with built in microphone, vibration activated 130 decibel alarm on the frame, and 10,000lbs rated towing chain and u-locks in place. Oh and a cover. Good Luck

I know it has already been suggested but I found what I believe to be a much cheaper option for sat tracking. Maybe check out the back packer safety units that just sends in a signal 1-2 times a day. They are light weight and durable and could be hidden anywhere. Not to sure on the monthly cost but it has to be less then the dog one as it isn't real time. Still would be useful in retrieving a stolen bike. I saw some mentioned once in a magazine but haven't really heard of them sense. A quick google search turned up nothing but they might be out there. Just something to look into.

HHm still kinda pricy but I would go for it if I had the money available if there was as much of a problem with theft here as there is by you.

Funny side note. I live right out side of saint louis and theft has never been a problem. SL is ranked #3 in the county for violent crime. It is also unranked in auto theft. Kinda weird.

Gosh I love Felts. Nice build. Is the 3 piece from Sick Bikes? Also: I'd like to know more bout you'er battery and box. Thanks.

Hello Fellow MB'ers. So I have a full time graveyard shift so During the day. I do not work on this thing so I'm sorry for the delay.

As I get back on this the bike I put the pedals back on and man, I gotta say this bike rides smooth. I cut the chain and fitted it on. I now have to move the motor up to fit it with out a chain idler.

Next was to perform a little liposuction and remove some excess motor fat to expose the motor itself a little more.

After that next was the pipe. I'm using Phantom Bike's custom made Signature Series Header glass pack exhaust pipe. Made for the motor and the Felt frame.

The bike is now in the shop getting a Stumey Front Drum relaced for some stopping power. Mounting the gas tank and moving the motor for the chain is next. Then it's time to get a ride going on.

The chromoly crank is from Phantom Bikes also. The battery box was also made special by John King of Phantom. Inside will be a gel cell for light since I will be riding to work at 9pm.
