i ran that track in reverse after the last race. a little confusing after running it all day the other way, but it's pretty cool. running downhill on the straight is pretty cool, but makes for some hard braking going into the corner.

a high geared bike would probably wind out before reaching the end of it...

The "infamous Safe" is considering coming and racing in
the low power eBike class at Grange.

Hey Safe
There is another SoCal Motor Bicycle Race on June 9th

However if you are Serious I would suggest getting to the
first race on April 7th because if there isn't enough interest
the < 1500 / 2000 watt class may be canceled.

He even put some pedals on his bike. :D

I want that bike. Wonder if Safe is interested in selling. Geez, I've been curious 'bout others bikes, but this one has so many concepts. Lo-kv single stage gear down motor, freewheeling chainring, and that fairing with everything tucked behind it.

I wanna see more entries in the <50cc four stroke class!! Real men ride 50cc bikes!!
My buddy Strotter rides a 50 cc Honda and is coming with his
2 sons that ride 35 cc Robin Subaru's.
They were at the first SoCal race at Willow Springs last June.

agk said that he is coming but not racing any 50 cc 4 strokes
this race.

www.affordablegokarts.com is sponsoring the race again and
the good news is that Shane's knee has healed up so he will
be riding his bike in the 11 hp class.

Shane's son will be racing the 99 cc 4 stroke bike and I think he
said it will be a 2 speed transmission.
Would be great to have a 99 cc 4 stroke class if there were enough
entries.
Affordable Go Karts is going to concentrate on developing performance
parts for the 99 cc Predator 4 stroke motor.

Brian will be racing the very fast agk 4 stroke monsta bike and will
have some competition from Chris ( www.TomahawkTuning.wordpress.com )
on his very fast 14 hp moped.
Who knows what other bikes will be in the Unlimited Class? liveforphysics?
if he can finish a race without destroying his bike? :D

Will Nash Moto be running?
Yes, nashmoto emailed me that he is going to be defending his
50 cc 4 stroke title and is looking for some competition! :D
Mind you he won a Sick Bike Parts 4 stroke shift kit last race so
he was pretty happy about that.

Nashmoto did say that beating all those 2 strokes and coming 5th
was fun too! :)

BigBoy,
Now, whad'da 'ya think of a 100' pedal start, no throttle pedal only 'till we cross a line painted 100' out? Not sure how you and others would view this, and I'm by no means committed to this concept. Just seems fun and a bit more bicycle, could be a hoot for spectating.
We can always see what everyone wants to do on race day. I don't
have any preference and always gas and pedal on the starts.

Game On, Race On! I'm cobbling together a tidy e-commute/fun bike (complete w/ fenders & kickstand) that should run 'bout 31-32mph at Grange. Isn't that about your speed?? I have 2 friends with a realistic chance of entering the "small motors" class. There's gonna be enough entrants in your class to dice it up.
Safe says that his 1000 watt ebike is going 40 mph so you are going
to have to step it up a bit?

Looks like this is gonna be some stiff competition in all classes especially the unlimited class. I officially have the days off and will be there.

Man I wish I could do faster wheel work, lasing and truing takes me a day and a half but for the love of racing I'm doing it.
I hope every ones pre-race bike work is moving along.
If you're new to this stuff it can be an up hill battle. this is a from scratch build I've got going, a first for me. I think the .D.I.Y. is a good place for me in the hobby it's all one of, make it how you wont it and see what works next time how would I do it different stuff I love.

don't feel too bad. my new racer has been a nightmare since day one. one thing's fixed, another breaks. it's all custom, and the there's still the guy at 7-11 who says, "my buddy has one just like yours..."

drives me nuts, but it's a labor of love...

Atleast you know how to lace wheels, I wish I knew how because I want to go from 26" to 24" but don't want to pay for the labor.
I'm also moving up in class from 2 stroke to the 6.5hp 4-stroke but you can still race magrider xct2
