Congratulations to magrider for winning the Ultimate Race at Willow
Springs on June 18th and for not being afraid of having the #1 plate
on his bike at the upcoming Oct 22nd race! lol

Of course magrider gets to keep his #8 plate as well.

A new tradition has been established that whoever wins the Ultimate
Race of all the classes gets to claim the #1 plate.

Is it ok to run nitro-methane in the 2 stroke class? like 2% mix or just pump gas?
O-ya I'm hot for racing open open open!!!
Hi Dave, only 84 days to go! LOL

There are only very simple rules for the 2 stroke Chinese engine
kit class and the 50 cc and under 4 stroke class.
Unlimited engine modifications are allowed and shift kits too.

1) Must have fully functioning pedals.
2) No motorcycle tires. ( This will be defined more )
3) No multi-speed motorcycle type motors.

so yes you can run any kind of fuel that you want for the next race.

magrider and I had a great chat today and one of the agreements we
came to was that we did not want to stifle innovation with restrictive rules.

scotto- wanted to be involved in setting the direction of
Motor Bicycle Racing in Southern California so;

The current SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing board members are:

agk (Sponsor)
BigBoy
magrider
MotorBicycleRacing
msrfan
Pablo (Sponsor)
Samford&Son
scotto-
Strotter
SoSauty (eBike advisor)

PS: I wanted to clarify that if you show up with a motor bicycle that
has motorcycle tires or a multi-speed motorcycle engine or is outside
of the few rules in any way you will be in the Unlimited Class.
You still must have functioning pedals.

The Unlimited Class will be not be racing in the Ultimate Race which
is all the 5 classes competing against each other at the end of the day.

The only two bikes at the Willow Springs race that would be in the
Unlimited Class this next race is #81 agk's 20hp 4 stroke and #100
liveforphysic's eBike with the motorcycle tires.

I'll take whats available. It's doesn't much matter to me. If I can get a ride then I'll be bringing a 33cc Robin Subaru staton crank shift. I don't think it's too early for a car pool thread.
Hi MaxPower

I gave you # 43 and your 33cc Robin Subaru would be in the
50cc 4 Stroke Class. Should be interesting to see what that
Staton crank shift kit does for your performance.

There are a few 35cc 4 Strokes so there is a sub class for you guys.

I will be starting a Carpool thread and I hope you can make the race.

Sorry but #19 is taken by my buddy flexman who rode a
9.2hp Boxer Morini at Willow Springs. I hope flex brings his
50 cc 4 stroke Q Matic next time too.

I have to update the racer # list with all the people who
signed up on the last race day on June 18th at Willow Springs.
It's a lot of time organizing a race......

Please pick another number.

I met you at the Adams to Stanton car show ride and you will
have a lot of fun on your cool Briggs bike in the new mid range
class. Your Briggs sounds great with that fishtail muffler.

PS: The only low numbers currently available are;

#26 I think the 26incher moved to Hawaii so it's available.
#43
#48
#62
#64

Ok I'll take #48 then if it's still available. Yes I remember, that ride was fun! Can't way for this race!

You got lucky #48 lol
There is a nice showing of 4 Stroke Briggs 5hp and similar bikes.

You would be in a Mid Class between the < 50cc 4 Stroke Class
and the < 11 hp Class.
Not sure what to call it yet and all the types that it will include.

Only 82 days to go!

STTARS Supermoto are racing on Oct 23rd which is the Sunday
after our first SoCal Motor Bicycle Race at the Grange Track.

Check out this video of STTARS 2006 Winter Series at the
Grange Race Track on which we will be racing;
http://www.grangeracetrack.com/video/STTARS winter series 2006.mov

Note that there is a dirt section with jumps in the course that you can see
in the pics in the post above.

I am going to be camping Saturday night and staying to watch the action
on Sunday.
This new track is going to be way more challenging than the Willow Springs
go kart track and a lot more fun.

I was informed yesterday that I've been suspended from the prestigious SoCal Motorbicycle Racing Association due to my suspected involvement in an as yet undetermined and unofficial rival association that doesn't even exist yet.

my number (33) is officially in "limbo" so I'm retiring it. if anyone wants it, I'll send you my custom aluminum number plate, free of charge.

if you want to race me, I'll be on the streets. :)

That is not true and is not what I said to you on our phone conversation.
You are twisting what I said and you know it.

Are you guys still fighting over bikes with motors on them?

And people wonder why congress can't get anything done...

I have been sitting back watching the post pop up and just can’t imagine what you are trying to achieve by the comments you are posting. Can I ask Why?

You are forcing people to second guess you as a race organizer. Me for one.

I personally think this needs to stop, the past is the past.

If you need volunteers start a list and see who is willing to help and what they can offer. I am willing help.

BUT:

If this continues the way it is going I will withdraw myself, my kids and tell the rest of my local riders what a joke this racing is…with its present organizer.

really? I can post the message you left me on my phone if you want. it might give some insight into your character that your "board members" might find interesting.

our 45 minute, one sided conversation didn't change anything. the last thing I asked was if you were gonna let me race or if I'm suspended. you said I was suspended until you see what I'm gonna do. I said "you're gonna see what I do..." and then I hung up on you.

CCC
I don't think that having volunteers works very well as demonstrated at the last race, but
your offer to help is appreciated.

I think it was already posted that the next Oct 22nd race will be a working event
and riders will be assigned tasks like scoring, flagging and whatever else needs to be done.

Everyone entering will get a sheet of paper at the gate with the;

1) Race rules. 5 mph speed limit in the pits, etc.

2) Required safety equipment, like helmet, gloves, elbow & knee protectors, long pants, boots, etc.

2) Tasks they are assigned to do. [ flagging, scoring, etc ] Tasks can be done by a friend, gf, wife, etc just as long as a competent person is provided.

3) Heat and Race time schedule with starting times. These will also be posted on a notice board
like they were at Willow Springs.

Racers will be responsible for being at the starting grid on time as there may not be PA announcements for every heat and race.

Racers in the next 5 lap heat need to be staged at the same time as the heat before them starts
as heats only take about 15 minutes.

All this info will also be posted on this thread as well.

My turn. I agree with the guys above. Jeff, Baird, Norm, Goat. I see you, Neil, as just looking for controversy. You seem to enjoy it. In this thread, in other threads, in my threads. Seriously man, step back and have a good honest look. Your wearing on everybodies nerves, mine included. You were banned here for a reason, care to share with us what that reason was? Let me guess, you were a victim and completely without fault.
