i need 2 replace the clutch side of the engine case on my not even broke in yet 66cc skyhawk gt5. can i leave the magneto and drive sprocket on and just change the case on other side. i have already taken off everything on that side?

Why is the clutch needing replacement? Awful early. But to answer your question, the clutch can be accessed from the right side.

After removing the clutch cover, the small screw by the star washer, and the star washer..lift off the flywheel, and...here you go...

i tried to put a helicoil in 4 one of the head bolts & i over drilled. first the coil striped then when re-tapping the tap striped.

How in the world can a tap strip, especially in aluminum, I've seen them brake before.

I think the helicoil didn't take to the aluminum. Is that right?

i think this hole casting is crap i see little crack in a few spots & i didn't cause them.

Ummm make sure that you are using the correct (don't estimate) drill size for the tap. Here is a list of bolt sizes and what drill needs to be used. I like this chart as it list both US and Metric in ascending order together. Also use a thread cutting lubricant, you wouldn't believe how much it makes a difference. That is if you haven't.

the bit came with the tap 8.8 for a m10x1.25 tap.
