I am hoping one of you guys can help me out with my problem. I put a Daemon engine in a Schwinn DelMar. I am having a problem with the chain's master link. As it rolls over the tensioner, it is binding a bit and snaps as it goes over the roller. The master link stays together and is not coming apart. It appears to me that the master link is a hair too wide. I am using the stock 415 chain. Any suggestions?

I've never heard of those tensioners being too narrow for the chain... but if you have a chain breaker tool?, you can just put a regular link in there.

It is only too narrow when the master link passes through. How do I go without a master link? How does one put a regular link in with a chain breaker tool? Thank you.
A chain breaker tool allows you to add or remove chain links. (You simply press in a regular link where the master should be.) 
Can you recommend a good chain breaker that wont break the bank that does this function? Also, where would I pick up a link for this? Thanks.
As for finding a 415 link to use. I doubt that you used the entire length of chain that came with your kit. You should have had several links left over. If not then your chain is probably way loose.
If the master link is hitting the edges of the tensioner wheel you could also chuck that wheel up in a drill press or a hand drill and file the chain slot a little wider.
I'd also closely check your chain alignment. Most, if not all tensioner brackets require a slight twist to get the tensioner wheel to align with the chain path. View it from the rear of the bike and see if the wheel is riding true (aligned) with the chain. If not clamp the bracket in a vice and give it a slight twist. A big Crescent wrench works well. That is some good advice Tom. I have the chain aligned correctly with the sprocket but the tensioner sits at a slight angle between both sprockets. I am going to try this then move onto the other recommendations if this fails. Thank you, guys.
i have a daemon kit too. i lost 2 master links the 1st 2 weeks i rode it lol. u can run the chain without a master link tho. as the others said u will need a chain breaker tool. the 1 i use i got from boygofast on ebay for less than $10 since none of the so called motorcycle shops here would sell me 1.
Take the chain with you if you can though. Maybe I'm the only poor fool who's had this problem but I have actually purchased at least one chain breaker that my heavy-duty chain got stuck in. It was **** breaking links apart with it. I could have saved a lot of trouble if I'd brought the chain that time, to size up the breaker with.
