Take the chain off, and spin the back wheel, is the wheel and psrocket spinning straight? Not wobbling?

Also, you don't want to over tighten the chain.

usually, throwing chains is due to alignment issues...
is the sprocket directly in line with the engine sprocket ?,
and is it trued to both axis' (up n down and side to side) ?
tensioner mis-alignment can cause this as well

No the chain is not to tight or to loose. that's not the problem.

The sprocket does wobble a bit, how do I fix that?.

No way, I'm over a 1100 on this bike from it breaking down constantly, I'm tired of spending money.

Looks like you'll have to put up with greasy finger from putting your chain back on all the time then....

If the sprocket is wobbling then that's your problem. Fix it!!! You don't need to spend any money, just some time and patients.
Which way is it wobbling? Up down or side to side. Either way you need to start by slightly loosening all of the bolts holding the sprocket to the hub. It really helps to have the rear wheel suspended off the floor and the chain off so it can spin freely. Spin the wheel and determine what the sprocket is doing. If it wobbles side to side then take a close look at it and make sure it isn't bent. If you're unsure about this then completely remove the sprocket and lay it on a known flat surface. A piece of glass is about as flat as you can get but anything that you know that lays flat, a small sheet of dry wall (sheetrock) laying on a flat surface will suffice. If the sprocket isn't bent (warped) then you're good. If it is you can probably get it flat with help from a rubber mallet, large crescent wrench or any tool you can find to assist in making sure the sprocket is as flat and true as possible. Also, if it is bent then send it back to wherever you got it and demand a replacement.
Now, with a flat (no warps or bends) sprocket, reinstall it back on the wheel leaving the bolts snug but not tight. Spin the wheel. What needs to be done to make it spin true? If it wobbles side to side then start tightening the bolts, alternating from side to side in a star pattern all the while spinning the wheel to see if you are tightening the bolts uniformly. Keep tightening using the one-side-then-the-other method until all bolts are tight. I like to use a cordless drill with an adjustable clutch that you can incrementally increase the torque value as you go. I like to use a magic marker, Sharpie, any kind of marker that you can hold firmly and 'mark' the sprocket as it spins. The marks made will tell you which way the sprocket needs to go to be true. Finally I like to see something in the neighborhood of 50 inch pounds on the bolts, if you have a torque wrench. If not, rent or borrow one. Just don't wrench on them so much that you twist them off. They are only 6mm and not hardened bolts. They're not semi truck lug nuts.
If the sprocket is spinning flat (true) but has an up and down motion to it that tells me it isn't centered on the rear hub. It isn't rocket science...center it. You can use a rubber mallet or a hammer with a small block of wood between the hammer and the teeth of the sprocket to pound (work) the sprocket into concentricity with the rear hub.
Think of it this way...any wobble, side to side or up and down will add to your chain problems.
Chain tension: You said yours is good but you didn't indicate how tight/loose it is. We recommend that you have 1/2" to 3/4" slack in the top chain run when you push the bike forward, clutch engaged. Any more or less is not good.
It has already been said, but check your chain path from the engine drive sprocket to the rear wheel (driven) sprocket. Any misalignment will cause problems. Move what needs to be moved to assure the chain travels in a straight line its full length. Get back to us if these suggestions don't solve your problem.

Star Pattern: Means tightening the bolts starting on one side of the sprocket then moving to a bolt directly across from it instead of the one next to it. Keep alternating from side to side to assure an even tightening of the bolts without pulling the sprocket too far to one side which will cause a wobble. Hope that explains it for you.
You said you'd "been at it for six hours". What have you been doing and why? Did you see a wobble? Is the sprocket not spinning true? Let us know what you saw when you spun the rear wheel. That would help us help you if we knew what you're seeing. Good luck.

Just a thought...Why are you going so large on the rear sprocket? With a 56T sprocket you'll have great hill climbing ability but your top end speed will suffer. I just want to be sure you understand the gearing and what effect a big sprocket will have. 41 or 44T (teeth) sprockets will give you better all-round performance than a 56T.

this for a 4cycle, I believe (why he is using a 56t)

I always started tightening one bolt a little, and then rotating 4 bolts, and repeating the process, over and over until the threads sticking out of the nut look to be the same length

Bill,
I didn't see anywhere that he said it was 4 cycle...sorry.

Your method will work too, Bill. Anything that keeps from tightening one side more than the other should work. The most important thing is to be able to spin the wheel and watch the sprocket. Trying to 'eyeball' it true without seeing it spin would be next to impossible (my opinion) Too many other variables involved.

Oh, I'm sorrryy alright.....sorry I even read this thread! Thanks Tom (2door) for taking all the time to explain the proper way to remedy his chain problem....if that doesn't work, nuthin will. Sorrryy.dnut

Hey Tom
This is the guy that put his HS motor on the side and overfilled it with oil,
then destroyed about 4 or 5 clutches
I think his latest gearbox is a 5 to 1 grubee 4G on a 49cc Huasheng

A 56 tooth is too big
If you go a little over 30 you will Blow the motor up at 10,000 rpm

A 44 or less would be a better choice.

Re: I just put on my new 56 tooth sprocket and the chain keeps falling off even tho i

Wait what?, I had a 44tooth on there and the hoot gear box ground down 5 or so of my clutches, and then I Bought A 4g gear box 100t and then it slipped like crazy, then I was reommnded to someone els, and a bought a 56t sprocket..

And I thought bigger is lower rpms, and smaller is higher. I think you got it backwards.

Do you know if this is a bad ratio by chance?, or what Might be wrong?. thanks.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to know if you have the 4:1 or 5:1 Ratio that makes a big difference the 5:1 needs a 50 tooth minimum rear sprocket if you have the new 4:1 Don Grubee real missed the set up on this one he sends them out with a 44 tooth and they need a 60 tooth let me know what ratio you have and I will the you what rear sprocket you should have if you have been running 44 tooth with either of them you most likely burn out your clutch
