Ok I start her up and she put- puts then backfires a bunch of times. I put her in idle and keep her revved at a low throttle and she sounds ok butvas soon as I put her in gear she might struggle up to about 15 mph then back fires and dies or if I catch it I can keep her idling. I'm thinking my friend mixed too much oil in the gas. I checked the fuel filter and any where the fuel goes and it's clear. And the exhuast and it's clear too

Hello!
Mine did a similar thing a while back, and it proved to be the spark plug. A new plug, properly gapped (.028", if I recall), worked wonders.

Good Luck!

What does the plug look like? Black/oily? White or light grey? What did your friend mix the gas/oil at? Why did you let them mix it?

the plug looks dark brown to almost black. he said he mixed it at 32:1, but didnt have anything to measure the oil so he could have messed up. i let him mix it because he was riding it and ran out of gas kind of far from my house so he put gas in.

yesterday after i let her sit overnight i started her up with out doing anything to her and she ran fine. kind of confused
