Just finished my second build for my first customer...Thanks Kent =)

Kent went with a Nirve frame, 3 speed hub and a Sick Bike Parts shift kit.

The shift kit is DA SHNITZ ...way to go Sick Bike Parts!!!

The shift kit is well worth the money, the bike hauls ASS! Can start from a dead stop in first gear. Second for general cruizin' and 3rd scared the crap outta me. Wouldn't take it to top speed without a helmet!

The shift kit might be a bit difficult for a novice as I had to do some milling on the clutch cover and had to build a custom front motor mount. Front mount also took some shimming to get it right so there wasn't too much or too little slack in the chain from the shift kit to the pedal sprocket. It was a fun build none the less.

Anyway, here's some piccys.

I feel the same way about the seat post. However, the new owner felt he'd rather have it raised even more (he's a tall guy).

Thanks for the compliment about the tank. Talking with Kevron99 now about building a custom tank for him.

Just a thought - but have you suggested a "bent" seat post to the guy? I'm pretty tall myself and I initially had my seat up high where you'd normally have it for pedaling... then I came to realize I never pedal the thing 'cept to start it so I dropped the seat all the way down and brought the handlebars back, it's a heck of a lot more comfy now despite my height.

Some good ideas here;

COOL! next bike I build I need to run a shift kit, my current bike could only hit 42mph with nitrous and 36t sprocket. Not surprisingly it broke a ring and shredded a bearing about 10 miles after that run. :-||
