Hey Neat,
How's things? I was wondering what you're up to lately CVTwise. Mine is running great with the addition of the Grubee HD Freewheel hub. I'm currently running 12T to 56T but am looking to drop down to a 44-48T. Have you had to tune your CVT at all with either engine? My little R/S runs better with less weight in the variator. I have 3gram and 4gram weights on order. Wish I could locate a lighter contra spring though to match them properly. I am also thinking of swapping in a CAG engine. How is your CAG setup running? Is it more powerful than the Titan? Better pick-up? Better top end? Worse?
Cheers
Wayne

That is one sweet ride you have there, looks like you used a trailer fender for the rack, kill two birds with the same stone keeps you dry and the motor mounted and clean. I'd like to thank you and Neat Times for the information on these CVT transmissions, Wayne C put me onto this thread. I've been toying with an idea such as yours, now I know it will work, thanks to you guys.

Hey Neat,
I certainly don't claim to be the 1st to put a cvt on one of these contraptions, but like you said once before, great minds think alike. It was only a matter of time. I do like the variations I'm seeing. Lots of great builds coming down the pike. Glad you found us Fritz. Keep us up
to date on your build.
There is a LOT of misinformation circulating around about these X2 CVTs. I'm planning on starting a thread soon on the ins and outs of these things. They're not that complicated but it seems like people either can't grasp the concept or try to complicate the physics of them.
Stay in touch, all.

Re: Belt Drive Cvt Trans Rack Mount Chain Drive Free

Here Are The Part Numbers And Suppliers For The Freewheel Spacers And Coupler. The Bottom Bracket Kits Are From "bike Parts Usa". `pyramed Bb Cup Set`. Enter This In The Search Box. The Kits Are Still $3.66. Now The Kit Comes With A Lock Nut That Could Be Used In Place Of The 1/8" Thick Spacer, Saving You $10. Plus Shipping. I Used The The Right Hand Threaded Sleeve To Couple The Free Wheels. The Other 1/16" Thick Spacer Comes From "mcmaster Carr" ( A Great Place To Buy Metric And Standard Bolts, Nuts, Threaded Rod For Head, Motor Mt Studs Etc.) The 1/16" (.062) Part # 3088a475 = 10/$9.26. The 1/8" (.125") Thick Spacers Part # 3088a519 = 10/$9.95. The 20 Spacers Cost Me $25. With S/h. Like I Day Service. With My Debit Card. I APOLIGIZE FOR NOT POSTING THIS INFO IN THE BEGINNING. I GUESS I DID NOT EXPECT THIS MUCH INTEREST. FEEL FREE TO POST QUESTIONS OR PM`S. RON .cvlt1
You posted the double rear freewheel mod.

Under the treewk title.
I am currently using a whites hd freewheel and want to get away from applying power to the front freewheel.
Thanks for the part numbers.

I don'd know what a x2 cvt is .

These guys are the kings of cvt's on small engines.

Hi Spad, Did You Catch My Post= After Looking At My Rear Free Wheel Pictures (full Pc Screen= 5 Times Larger Than Life!! Lol) I Noticed That I Could Eliminate The 1/8 Center Spacer By Moving The Large Sprocket To The Inside Of The Free Wheel Adapter Flange. That Would Give You 1/8" More Threads Joining The Two Free Wheels. I Used The 1/8" Spacer To Keep My Derailer From Rubbing The Large Sprocket. I Did Not Remove My 1/8" Spacer Yet And Have Had No Problems. Do Not Have A Lot Of Miles On It Yet, But Working Good, No Problems. Ron

Engler, Lost My Reply To You!!! This One Will Be Shorter!!!!lol. Yes That Is The Only Cvt Available Now, In That Size. It Is Good, Put Heavy Weight Gear Oil In The Little Gear Box. Think 11 Tooth On My Tranny And 54 Tooth On 26" Rear Wheel = Too Much Power And Am Over 325 Lbs. (unless You Want To Pull A Heavy Trailer). Need To Change Sprocket For More Speed And Better Fuel Milage. Have Cag Motor On One Cvt With 19/63 Tooth Sprockets = 8mm. Have Not Rode Cvt`s Since August, Built A Titan Shifter And It Is Great. Need To Mess With Cvt`s Again. Might Weld Two Frames Like "elmo" Is Doing And Have A Cvt Shifter (because Of Lack Of Good Trannys) Though It Is A Bit Of Overkill. Maybe Wayne C Will Jump In Here, He Has A Super Cvt Left Side. If You Are Going To Build A Rear Rack Mount, I Would Highly Recomend The $49. Mount From "bicycle-engines.com" Bought Two Of Them, Not Used Them Yet But They Are The Nuts. And Could Be Used For Many Different Set Up. Lots Of Extra Parts. If Your Order Is Over $100 They Had Free S/h. I Did Not See It Till After I Ordered!!! Duuuhh. I Built My Own Mts, But Not Again. You Could Hang Panniers On Their Mount Also. Good Luck Ron Ps - Check Out My Custom Made For Me CVT Avatar!!! .cvlt1

Angler, Hiker, Made All The Great Emoticons, Went Into The Michigan Woods Last Sumer, I Think The Bears Ate Him!! He Will Be Missed! Ron
Really is a great avatar Ron. Was just yesterday wondering where Hiker got off to. He had said he would be starting school or some thing? Hate when good folks go MIA.

No body stop coming around with out a note from your parents or doctor. Or you'll rue the day! (I don't actually know what "rue" means but it can't be good)

Hiker made these for the flying MB. Talented guy to say the least. Every time some one from a country other then U.S. joined, He would make one with their flag on it. I thought that was really kind of him.

So glad you brought it up Ron, ty. I had been meaning to write him for a good while now and just one of those things just never got around to. So, just wrote him and said you were asking about him. He had his PM set to not accept email, so unless he signs in will never see it. Bummer.

OH! $ thing is not as bad as I thought so Carol and I will be knocking on your door some time this yr and take ya out for lunch & libations! When was every one else coming down to see ya?

I am really looking forward to hanging out with you and those guys. Gonna be a blast. Might finally build a folding MB so I can get it on the plane. Wut could possibly go wrong? lol, snork
