Aren't scared of letting electrics on the track to scrap with the gassers I assume??? :)

I burned my motor up at the death-race, but I'm all ready designing a better cooling system for future events. :)brnot

Absolutely no fear my friend....

There will be 4 separate classes at the Willow Springs race unlike the
recent Death Race in Tucson as I foresee having way more than 36 bikes.
We have 9 hours of track time from 8am to 5pm on Saturday June 18th.

We do need to be off the track at 5pm sharp as there is a $450 hour
charge after 5pm which will not be happening!

However hanging out in the pits after 5pm is encouraged and there is free
tent camping close by that is included with your entry fee. RV's sites are just $25.

There is a concession stand and I hear that they serve beer after the race.

There will be 4 classes.

Chinese 2 Strokes which will allow any modifications you can come up with
including shift kits.

4 Strokes which will include 50 cc Hondas & Huashengs, 79cc Greyhounds,
shift kits and of course any smaller 4 stroke motors.

Electric bikes.

Unlimited gas bikes like Morinis, 138cc Whizzers, 5 to 8 HP Briggs & Strattons,
6 HP Harbor Freight motors, 100cc Hondas, etc and larger.

The 8 to 9 fastest from each class will race in a final unlimited class
for the Ultimate Race.

Also really want to do some straight line drag racing, Not quite sure how
this will work as we need to go pre-ride the track and check out the facilities.
Not sure if we can have a separate drag strip or have to do it on the track.

I do want to emphasize though that there will be plenty of just cruising on
the track for those that aren't into racing with no aggressive cornering behavior allowed.

Please don't be discouraged from coming if you don't want to race and just
want the experience of riding on a track. Sunday is fathers day so bring your
wife, girlfriend, boyfriend and kids. All the family is welcome.

All minors under 18 who want to ride on the track will need a waiver from a parent or guardian.
This race event is covered by a 5 million dollar insurance policy and an EMT will be present as
required by Willow Springs raceway.

If funds, time off work...I am there Homies!
Dave, I am counting on you and a bunch of guys from Arizona
making it to the race.

We will roll the red carpet out for you. lol
There is free tent / car camping at the track and motels nearby.

Hope you also can help out with your organizing experience from
the many Death races you have put on.

I will be bringing myself and 2 other guys on fast electrics.

However, we want to race against the unlimited gassers.

The fun for us is head-to-head gas vs electric.

I also love the drag racing idea. :)

Safety Gear Warning so you don't show up and can't race.

Absolutely no one will be allowed on the track without the proper gear
for the actual races.

We will not require knee and elbow pads for the track Cruise Sessions
for those who don't want to race but still want the track riding experience.

Don't want to make the non racers have spend $30 to $40 on pads.

Helmet DOT or Snell preferably
Gloves
Eye Protection
Knee Pads
Elbow Pads
Long sleeve shirt
Long pants
Toe covering shoes

This may be a little too much.
Those are safety thongs. LOL

hey Bimoped, wish we could race on sreets of willow, cuz the kart track looks pretty small. It will also give you a drag event area since the last turn has a nice long staight away. Or maybe just a portion of streets of willow, since it has turn out sections.

Even if you have a spare $2000 to donate to a race on Streets of Willow
it is all booked every weekend until the end of the year.
It is not possible to rent a portion of that track either.

The June 18th date I got for the track was about the only one left.
June still has not too hot weather if the infamous "June Gloom" kicks in.
July is getting too hot already.

The Go Kart track is the only one that will work for this first event.
Pulling this event off in less than 2 months is going to be tough

The Death Race track in Tucson is 0.798 miles and 13 turns.
The Go Kart track at Willow Springs is 0.675 miles and 9 turns.

It's a great course and we are going to get to ride on it soon
and check out all the facilities at Willow Springs.
Will post up a bunch of photos and give some ride impressions of the
track. Probably will have some Death Race veterans there.

It's taken weeks and a lot of work just getting this far with the
5 million dollar insurance policy in place.

If you want to help out please publicize the event and get your buddies
with bikes to attend. Should only cost $25 to ride on the track.

You are more than welcome to donate more if you can.

Are you coming? Hope to see you there!

I joined your forum and made a post.
Would like to know how many electric riders are coming so can
figure out the classes. Also how many are going to blow up this time? LOL
Please comment over there and get the electric guys together.

Kinda hard to plan without knowing how many are racing.
Thanks
