Our last beach ride went so well that we're gonna have another (even longer) one on February 5th 2011.

Our last ride had about 15 riders & we're hoping for a even bigger turn out this time. Everyone is welcome to join us!
We will be starting again at the Venice Pier parking lot (at the end of Washington Bl.) & we will ride south along the coast to Ruby's Diner in Redondo beach. This will be about 60 miles round trip, so make sure you bring extra gas & a bike lock!!

We are meeting at 10:00am & we ride out at 11:00 sharp.

Here's a map to the starting point... venice whaler - Google Maps

Here's some pics from the last beach ride...

Do you plan to take the bike path or street on the ride?
We're gonna ride the streets right along the beach... There are no motors allowed on the bike path.

We're also thinking of shortening the ride to Manhattan beach instead of going all the way down to Redondo beach. We'll put it up to a group vote on the day of the ride. (^)

Do we just show up? Any sign up forms or anything?

I'll be there for sure!!
Just show up on time, & make sure you have enough gas & a lock; & also make sure your bike is fast & reliable!! (because we don't have a chase truck to carry your bike back if it breaks down.) ;)

I'm right between you guys in Torrance and I will definitely keep a sharp eye out. I have a passionate hate for thieves.

I can't wait for this cruise. I've een getting my bike all dialed in this week so I'll be ready. You said make sure your bike is fast and I think I'll be alright but I was curious about you average cruising speed for a ride like this? I usually average 17-19 for any distance ride.

i usually eat a few burritos before every ride...:)

if i'm going on a really long ride, i have a small, 1oz bottle with some Opti2 in it. then i just pour it in at the gas station, fill the tank, and shake the crap outta my bike.
