won't stay running

A freind of mine is having a problem with his bike, it starts fine and runs for 5 to10 min then shuts off, if he waits a few minutes it will fire up run about 1 min then die and be hard to start. changed the plug, cdi, anyone have any idea what wrong. thanks

Sounds like fuel starvation. Check the screen in the gas tank and the float level. Install a fuel filter if not already done so.
