Will this bike work with a 4 stroke motor?

Hello All totally new to this concept, was just a regular bike rider for exercise, now the gas crunch has me looking for better ways to get back and forth to work. I already have a Trek 7500 Hybird bike but dont know beans about what i will need to set it up for use as a motor bike and have some saftey with the mod?

Most better built MABs here use 36spoke or more.
Rims that are double walled and 12 gauge spokes


look in the differnt parts of the forum and see what others have built

Gosh thats a nice pedbike.
maybe u could get a $20 MTB from a thrift store???
or craigslist?

Your Trek is a nice looking hybrid but a little on the flimsy side for motorizing, especially with that wheelset.
