Where to buy the required hardware?

I just bought a kit and I've been reading up about how the cheap chinese hardware should be replaced with high grade american hardware. However, I can't find where to buy the M6x1 bolts / rods needed. I've been to Home Depot, Lowes, Pepboys, Autozone, Kragen, and Ace Hardware. Help? Any online sites?
 
dont have a clue i still have my original studs after a year. Why not buy a couple of long m6 bolts and saw the heads off...
 
If its a good great grade eight long enough just cut the head off then run the nut from good side through cut side last run it all home with blue lock tight
 
I personally hate studs. I would rather change them out for bolts. I didn't mention it because you were after studs. But shoes has a good point.
 
I've used mcmaster carr three times for my needs including for 6x1 studs. They have many grades including 8. They ship fast too; It took 1 to 2 days from order to reciept of goods.
