I just had my bike running two days ago, but now when ever I let off the clutch the clutch doesn’t engage until my bike slowes down, sometimes causing my back tire to rub against the ground, is the problem the clutch or something else?

When I peddle, and let go of clutch, it doesn't sound like anything is going on in the engine until I am going slow and it seems to stop the tire for a second and I skid out

I don't use but centrifugal clutch on my bike, still I have an idea. Maybe the cable or associated clutch parts are not moving freely. Say maybe it takes a second or so for the plates of the clutch to come together and grab. Someone out there knows more and maybe an adjustment. Safety issue I'd say as I would want to know it would engage the engine quickly when I let the clutch handle out. When the engine is running, is there still the same lag for the clutch to start grabbing as you let the clutch handle out?
