What type of Shifter is this ??

I got this shifter on e-bay a couple months ago. Now My new bike came and I am not sure what type of freewheel/cassette- derailleur I should get for it. I just had to put it on to see how it looked ...looks like it belongs there.

That shifter looks very much like the ones used by Schwinn in the '70's on various Sting-Ray models. The one I had as a boy had the same shifter and it was a three speed hub. Thanks for the memories.....I loved that bike ...sniff...sniff. LOL

I would say rare hold on to that might come in handy.
