What is best between more teeth on a sprocket or less?

So I have just build my first motorized bike and I was wondering what is better for more speed a rear sprocket with more teeth or one with less teeth

Less teeth less cercuomferance for chain , but will also pull harder, as harder to turn…………Curt

Less teeth on the rear sprocket will give you more top speed, but will make it harder to take off from a stop & also make it harder to climb hills.

Be careful... going too small without having a strong enough engine can actually make the bike perform worse!

If you have a multi speed bicycle such as a 3x7. Here's a take off technique you should try; put the rear sprocket in (4) and leave it there. The front chainrings is all you'll be shifting for take offs. Shift like this as you accelerate 1(4), 2(4), 3(4). Always be in 1(4) before stopping.
