Hi all!
I’m new to the forum and can’t figure out what I need! I’m looking to make build a bike like this.

Not exactly of course but I want to build a vintage looking bike that’s dependable/upgradable. The frame isn't a problem for me to find and/or modify. What I really need help with is the engine. What are my options for engines? I’m not going to just buy a kit of amazon because f that lol.

Go 4 stroke with the previous generation Briggs & Stratton engine, horizontal shaft. Its a flat head, and has a vertical cylinder. Remove the fan cover and it looks a vintage motor.

So true, but not just Briggs, lots of old ones out there. Here is a shot of my Lauson.

Exhaust is plugged for painting and carb mount on other side.
