Yes. Do not run a tire wider than 2.0 (20X2) inches with a frame mounted motor. The motor chain will rub the rear tire in most cases. If you want to run bigger tires, like 20x2.5 or 20x3, use a friction drive motor kit. Deacon built a lot of those.
Motorized bikes need a front brake, IMHO. There are some springer forks with brake posts but most springers do not have them.
One last thing: The pedals may strike the ground with every stroke when using 20" tires on a 26" frame. Use a crankset from a 20inch wheeled bike to fix that.
