Ugliest forks ever.

Seen on a customer bike...


I'm guessing it was done to allow a wider front hub spacing for the mechanical speedo. Ugly welding but seems to be strong enough...added trail slows the handling a bit as well. The fork is so worn there is no movement in normal riding and it has a LOT of slop. Not something I would sell, but seems to work.
 
I don't judge, I just heal the wounds of vibration and poor upkeep.
