An anonymous donor has provided the Two-Stroke Handbook in Word so it is very usable and printable! 2-stroke-guide_r2.zip. Thanks LM!

I would like to pose a question.
A thinner head gasket with a modified or removed base gasket improves power.

How about a double base gasket and seal the cylinder head with permatex only.

As long as the piston doesn't hit the head.

nice find! i put a copy in the classic posts area. as far as you question i really am not sure. norman would be the one to ask and he should be back from vacation soon

You can play with port timing a little by juggling head and base gaskets.

I don't know that permatex would seal the head though.

Thanks for the information. I am looking for easy , and inexpensive piston ported low compression tuning tips.

Match up the port/gasket/exhaust.
Dial in the carb as best as you can.
I believe you can lose one of the two base gaskets if your bicycle motor came with two like mine did.
Make sure the head stays torqued properly.
After that, it's time for some porting and a few other two stroke tuners tricks.

Mix well and enjoy responsibly.
