I can understand this could be helpful to most. Though if I intend on using extension cord with 3 conductors as normal right, but at other times want to run stereo 3 channel color organ light boxes setup at a distance, it requires 1 neutral line and 5 hot lines. I don't have other wire that are rated safe for 300W 120V for 100ft, so I could find myself having a few cheater cords present and breakout wires where necessary for temporary means and have what's necessary for the moment.

Also from the past, every household should have a Bunsen burner hooked to the dryer gas line. Yea, and when flint runs out and matches too, who can beat using 1 amp fuse wire across the end of a cheater cord ready to plug into 30 amp outlet. Gas on, holding fuse wire ready to vaporize over top of burner, and eyes not looking at outlet plug or fuse wire. Poof lit! Glass blowing and other all set to go.
