Throttle and cable ends

I know that there are plenty of ways to do this but the way that I found the easiest is by taking a small piece of retractable antenna like off of a radio crimping the end putting the end of the cable inside of the antenna piece taking a fingernail clipper and clipping small little teeny pieces of solder and dropping it into the antenna piece with the cable inserted a drop of flux heat it up with a torch let it cool peel the antenna off and voila!

I have molds for fishing jigs that would work also, did you weave anything in the cable to prevent the solder from slipping off? There’s a thread here on the forum how to do it.

There's like a slight oil residue on these cables. I've found you can burn the end of the cable to a dull red. Let it cool slightly, then even electrical solder will stick to it while using a soldering iron.

I bent the ends of each of the strands about 2 mm from the end and I soaked the ends in navel jelly to "sanitize" them and made my flux from candle wax and vegitable oil. It worked awesome! Good looking out guys!

I appreciate you.
