things were going great-then.....

so im cruising along on my little skyhawk, about 3/4 throttle the all of a sudden, it starts vibarating more than it ever has before. power seems ok. speed was unaffected. just intolerable vibration.
checked my motor mounts :all is well
checked my chains: all is well
vibration definately related to rpm and not bike speed (happens whe bike is stopped too)
does it when the clutch is in or out
anyone have any ideas?

check every part of the bike for something broken or loose. might even be a cracked frame.

double check your motor mounts. i've seen studs snap but not fall out, so it looks like they're still in there.

i agree with bairdco in that I had same happen recently and it was a broken front mount studs. you may also have a frame issue...dont' ride it until you find it.

front mount was loose. The shims of lead i used fell out and left the bracket loose enough to rattle. I am sooooo happy



I was worried that something went wonky with the crank or bearings in the motor
