Well guys I took her out for her first pedal powered ride and was quite surprised on how easy it was to pedal. Just a little push start with my foot and off I went. That smaller sprocket really made the difference. I also made up some new forks. Since monarchs are not in my budget I made some non fuctional fake ones, I think they turned out good. Used some old trampoline springs for the forks.

If you haven't come to a conclusion about the handle bars may I suggest a pair of VooDoo Scorchers, They would fit this bike perfectly.

So ill admit it ..I'm a cheap skate. I figured building a jackshaft kit for my 99cc would be a good project. I know I could buy one but I like a challenge . Here goes!!!
Made some templates first. One from paper, wood and the transferred to my 1/4 plate.

Test fit wood template

Painted the plate white to see my marks more clearly. Then put it on my "cnc" machine..lol.:).

Bought some bearings at tractor supply for the shaft. I'm going to try to pick up the rest of the stuff tomorrow . All in all ill have about 45 bucks in it. I still need to slot my adjustment holes on the plate too.

You say your cheap but I have the feeling that it's more.
It's the satisfaction of doing it yourself and doing it right that drives you. Keep up the good work, am enjoying this thread.

Red or gold, or red and gold are the best choices.

Well ill have a new boy by tommorow morn!. Have to be at the hospital early in the morning to get checked in . In my spare time yesterday I scrounged up an old light out of my old car parts stash . It is a accessory backup light from the late 40's early 50's. it is about 3 1/2 inches in diameter . I think it looks good on the bike .. Not to big. Cleaned off the old paint and found the trim ring was brass! Sweeeeet! Ill keep u guys updated!! Wish me luck! .. the labor not the bike

This is my second. I have a 5 year old girl . She loves working in the shop with dad! Everything is goin good with the new little one . I have a new motor for my build now. My buddy was cleaning out his garage and decided to give me this old motor for my build. She runs great too. I just don't know what the heck it is. Posted more pics in the" 4-stroke" section on here. I have some free time today so I'm hoping to get it mounted today . My jackshaft plate even bolts right up!!!

Well I got the engine mounted today! :) started out with a piece I 1 in tubing.

Had some old atv racks lying around so I cut them up to border the plate. I wanted to make it look more attractive rather than just a plain flat piece of plate.

Now I need to make some lower side covers. And make a new intake for the engine. Shes lookin good!!
