Ever since I bought my motorbike the throttle has stuck on occasion. I've lubed up the cable with wd-40 and the cable and is smooth along with the handle. Finally I took the barrel (or piston) out and it was VERY tight in the bore. I took a honing stone to it and there was a "blister" or a dent on it. I honed it smooth and and wow what a smooth throttle I have now. NO sticking. Anyone else have this trouble? A better fix maybe? Thanks for the input!

Had that on my Nx 250 honda. You did the right thing being a mechanic and wouldve done the same but then wouldve used some 600 or 800 grit paper on it to smooth it out a bit more. Want to keep some roughness to it to allow oil to gather.

Well Done... two thumbs up.

I fixed my sticky throttle by taking some steel wool and put it in the end of my drill and honing/polishing out the throttle body. Smooth as ever.

FYI- Most of the time sticky throttle happens from over tightening your intake clamp. It warps the tube somehow.
