sprocket mounting hardware question

Hello forum members,
I would like to know what spoke count range the 9-hole sprocket mounting hardware fits??

I need to know if the sprocket mounting hardware would fit other spoke counts other than 32/36 spoke wheels.
 
36, 72, 144....
any number divisable by 9 evenly.
the idea being uniformity and balance for alignment.
It can be tricky to do a 144, but I have seen it done.

I was thinking there was a formula to it;I will need to stick with a 36 spoke wheel in 2 " or larger diameter.

I have a five hole but would need to make some new rubber spacers to use it. If someone is building a bike with a 40 spoke wheel, this sproket is ideal. I might be persuaded to part with it if someone needed one...Kelly
