Spark Timing?

Anyone here played with advanced spark timing on these china motors? maybe even installing something to give a curve? iv had a few ideas myself for simple passive systems, And maybe even microcontroller controled advance (powered off the magneto).

Anyone know if the timing is allready advanced at all?

ive asked this same question before...i gonna rebuild an old engine this winter...ill put a timing light on it before i put the magnito cover back on...it be nice to know and can a adjustable timing be built in???? i had an idea but id be attaching a new wheel and magnito to do so....it be much cheaper to modify the motor itself

Keep in mind that on a air cooled engine, the timing needs to be very retarded to keep the engine cool. Too much advance will burn your engine up!

I was thinking about this the other day too, can we slot the magneto 4 holes slighlty and twist the magneto around the magnet a tad?
