Some will suggest larger gaps, but a tighter gap will aid starting. You could experiment with larger gaps in the future.
 
You can pick up a gapping tool at any auto parts store. They usually have them by the cash register. Real cheap too.

Usually called a feeler guage. (just messin with ya bro.)

I'm glad I found out about these tools when I did. I had been using my teeth to set the gap. I was running out. :-||
