i have a two stoke engine from china and i was wondering what the spark plug gap should be?
.017-.020"
Some will suggest larger gaps, but a tighter gap will aid starting. You could experiment with larger gaps in the future.
I took the title of this thread and pasted it in the search feature. Got this> http://www.google.com/cse?cx=partne...ss=#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=Spark Plug Gap&gsc.page=1

No way to answer that one. It might be anything. Setting the gap is the responsibility of the builder.what is the gap when you first buy it?

You can pick up a gapping tool at any auto parts store. They usually have them by the cash register. Real cheap too.
I'm glad I found out about these tools when I did. I had been using my teeth to set the gap. I was running out.![]()
