so yesterday i got this idea to make some costom exhaust out of my expansion chamber and my muffler. but i didnt know how, and needed some matierials. so i grabbed an old pair of handle bars layin around and decided it would work. so i started away. a regular pair of handle bars doesnt fit right. so i had to cutt the bars. then rearange them to fit the bike right and clear the pedals.

started with this exhaust

then decided how i would make it.

then did some welding

welded the black pipe to the silver chamber

my finished product. a expansion chamber with a cool lookin exhaust dance1

all out of a simple pair of handle bars, tell me what you guys think

so i took it for a ride. i put in a new kind of gas. ill get you guys a link for it. and it pulled 40 mph pretty easily. the pipe made the motor stay warmer a little better. and i got a better power band out of it once i hit 30 mph, it just took off from there. that and a great deep sound =). recommended build for sure.

i put this in my bike today, its 93 octane, has no ethanol in it, and has fuel stabilizer. runs pretty good at 40:1

they say that a straight pipe on a two stroke is really easy to tune just by finding the right length for the powerband. i had to have a expasion in there. lol

So far every bike we built a pipe for has gained top end a little more power out of hole and only rasied fuel consumption a little ,prob down to 100mpg.
More over people can hear you comeing , nomatter what anybody says louder (not super over the top loud) pipes do get you seen better.
Did you hang that hole pipe on man. Bolts ? I use old gen. Mounting tabs to keep pipe vibe from stripping ext. Bolts on head. Just a thought.

wow thats a interesting bike. different.

so yesterday i was riding my bike. went for a 20 mile trip to an i was riding alot wot and the motor started lugging down. i was like whats going on.... well turns out i was running it to lean. i pulled in the clutch and my motor shut off. couldnt get it to turn over again.

so i stayed in that town sunday night with my gf. today i cough a bus back to town. took my bike over to my house. pulled the top end off, and to my suprise it wasnt scarred any where. i took some oil and lubed the cyclinder, it turned over with some effort. the piston got so hot it was sticking to the walls of the cyclinder. well i got it up and running with some oil and some effort. took it to my friends house. we pulled the top end off and the rings were fine. we hoaned the cylinder. cleaned the piston and rings. we put the motor back together with the clover head instead of the slant. and it runs great again. i decided to add some oil to the fuel mix and run it rich as all can be to keep it running good. ill mix it at 32:1 from now on. i dont want to run into that problem again. and i wont be so hard on it any more. i learned my lesson from that experience.

so for all you guys thinkin leaner is better. wrong. dont do it. dont want to endanger your bikes. keep runnin to much oil and keep it running good. dont go wide open for 15 miles either. it will hurt it a little.

anyhow. anybody do anything new or interesting?
