Solution for stripped headbolts

I was having problems with stripping headbolts on my first engine a friend of mine just put straight bolts in there works great!!

I was having problems with stripping headbolts on my first engine a friend of mine just put straight bolts in there works great!!

Be more specific as to what you mean by stripped. Is the hex head rounded off? Are the threads on the bolt stripped? Is the threads in the housing stripped out?

Did you have to cut the bolts to the proper length?
