shorting throtle cable

ijn the kit my thritle cable is about a foot too long...anyone knoe how to shorten it..cabke now sticks way out the front of the handel bars....looks bad

If the cable is attached to the carb by a screw clamp, you can shorten it to any length you need just by cutting with wire cutters, dremmel, muffler cut off tool, etc. The cable cover needs to be cut with a dremmel type device so that it doesn't get crimped and restrict the movement of the cable through it. You could probably use a grinder to cut the cover.
