Rod needle bearing keeps exploding

Hi everyone,
I have had 3 different motors that have had the same problem. The needle bearing at the piston explodes and takes the piston, rings and cylinder with it. The parts are all from the same vendor, but I think this is just aa generic part. 2 things:
1. Is there a higher quality bearing I can get?
2. Is this something i could have done? (I did lube them when re-installing, one with white lithium grease, not a lot, the other with couple drops of motor oil) Thanks for looking. Maybe it is just a string of good luck.

Oh yeah, what is the best way aside from cracking open the case to get any spare parts (debris) out of the case? Don't want any unknown time bombs going off...

That is fairly common with the older needle bearing engines unfortunately.

Can't help you with a better replacement item..

As for cleaning the one you have out, use plenty og kerosine or diesel fuel and keep turning it upside down and rinsing.

thanks for the good ideas and links. I may just get several of these and make it one of those things I just do before the first fire up.
