Hey All,
Roadmaster install updates. I'm going on my third install on the Roadmaster SX from Walmart. This bike is like the best build if you got the 50cc Grubee slant head motor that has the carb mount right to the motor. The front sprocket gear shifter has to come off.
i use the two bolts that come with the kit, that are used if you are drilling a hole in the frame, and used them for the front engine mount studs. They are longer. Just cut off the heads of the bolts. You also need longer bolts for mounting the ignition coil. And of course you need to do the trick of turning the head around so the sparkplg fits under the down pipe as cabinfever1977 mentioned. The break pads do wear down fast so you need to stay on top of them. I also do a little trick for mounting the chain guard. Starting from the back end, I fold down the cover up, and squeeze it in flat, with a vice, just past the rear down bar. It fits perfect this way. No extra parts needed for mounting it. I also install the dual handle break on my installs that you get from sickbikeparts.com. I wouldn't built a bike without them. As someone mentioned in here, it's now how fast you you can go, it's how fast you can stop that counts.. lol
