RIP George Barris

If you built model cars or played with Hot Wheels, you probably experienced a George Barris designed car. Barris designed the Batmobile, Monkeymobile, Munster mobile and countless others. He made a generation of youngsters want to become hot rodders and customizers.
Rest well George Barris and thank you for a job well done.

Thank you, George for the inspiration and innovation.

As a youngster I remember enjoying George's work at car shows, on television, in movies and on the covers of Hot Rod and Car Craft magazines.

You'll be missed in the automotive and hot rod world along with other greats like Norm Grabowski, Ed Roth and others who inspired a generation of car lovers.
