Piddled around he all day (been raining). Did mess around a little with the frame I plan on using for now. Stripped it bare and checked the joints. It's a Columbia and seems to be pretty solid. Also ran across a cylinder mock up I made a couple years ago when I was doing some casting. Probably include something like that in the build for a more authentic look. That's about it for today.. Hope to get more done tomorrow....

Thanks for the compliment Tom but that is my pattern. Never got around to casting it. But I think I may cast just the head without the valve housing on the side to use on my motor. Not a functioning head obviously,but just to get the vintage look. Put a few disks under it like I've seen online. I'll have to make it about 6 inches or so to look right. This one is 5 inches and is a little small. I cut a steel disk out with my plasma cutter but I think steel would be a little heavy. So I will use aluminum if I do it.
