Anyone recommend a front disk brake kit thats not going to break the bank? Switching over from rim brakes to disk brakes on the front.
You'll need a hub and a front fork that are compatible with discs. The fork will need caliper mounts and the hub will need to have mounts for a rotor.

And a fork wide enough to clear the rotor. Not every fork has that width.Not to contradict you, but the third item down is a universal caliper mount, all he'd need is a wheel that sports disc brakes then
