Rear Wheel Recommendation (26" MTB)

I have an older 26" Specialized Hardrock that I'm working on. The factory rear wheel is a 26x1.5 Weinmann 519. It has a Suntour Powerflo 7 cog cartridge and a Shimano FH-RM40 hub.

The hub is 1.118" diameter. Because I'm not having any luck finding a sprocket adapter for this, I've thought about just buying a new wheel.

Any recommendations on a new wheel? I assume MTB wheels don't come with 1.5" diameter hubs? 1" is the norm?

Any help is appreciated. Been searching for days. lol.

Good link Mags.

Was. the 1.5" hub is found typically in Cruiser style hubs/wheels most commonly with coaster brakes. I'd suggest selecting a 36 spoke wheel setup with 12 gauge spokes for ease of mounting a three bolt sprocket adapter. These adapters are sized to fit through 36 spoke wheels without bending spokes (bad idea). Workman makes a quality steel wheel with heavy spokes....USA product. Lacing your own hub is an option as well.
