T Tinsmith Well-Known Member May 28, 2010 #1 My MB has a 24X2.125 rear wheel. I have a 24X3.00 tire I would like to mount on it. Can it be done on the current rim or do I need a different size rim to accomodate the new tire? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Kevlarr New Member May 28, 2010 #2 You're going to need a 24" rim. Also you need to make sure there's clearance for that width of tire on the chainstays.

2 2dawgs New Member May 28, 2010 #4 I just mounted a 3" on an Alex DM18 (half the width of the previous rim); worked fine. Just be careful when mounting that you don't pinch the tube.
