Question regarding stock engine mounting brackets...

Hey guys, so my last motor went caput on me so purchased a new engine. Just wanted to get some tips on how I can get the front and rear brackets to fit flush around the frame tubes. I used my torch to heat one up and used a small hammer to tap it and managed to get it pretty flush against the front tube on my frame, but now the bolt holes don't align with the studs. I don't have a bench vice to bend them to line them up with the studs, and my concern is if I heat the bracket while against the frame it will damage the paint on my frame. Any tips on how I can bend these brackets and line up the bolt holes with the studs? I have very limited tools to do this. Any help will be appreciated.

Here's a pic of my problem... Like I said in previous post, tried heating one of these brackets up with my torch and got it more flush with the frame, but now holes don't line up with studs and don't have a bench vise or anything like it to bend them into place. Pic shown is of one of them I haven't tried to bend yet. Suggestions?
