Question for the Micargi Mustang builders

Hello , I'm new to the forum :) ...

Now I'm facing a tricky question... I'm determined to get a Micrgi Mustang and put a 49cc or 80cc engine in it, but before I even order it, I need to know one thing so I don't spend a lot of money and find out that it was useless given my current skills in building bikes...

So my question is:

Those of you who have experience building Mustangs - have you ever had to force the rear dropouts (rear wheel mounts) to widen? I'm just wondering if when I put the engine on the frame - will the engine rosette and the rear wheel rosette be flush?? ...

Because it seems to me that the Mustang's dropouts are quite narrow... So I'm really hesitant if it won't happen that the chain won't rub against the rear fork of the frame and if the axis of the engine rosette and the rear wheel rosette will be in the same plane...

And finally - I'm asking because I can't bend the frame and widen the rear fork of the wheel mount and I won't do it either, because I've never done it... if it's necessary to forcibly widen the rear wheel mount so that both rosettes are in the same plane and the chain doesn't rub against the frame - then it doesn't make sense to me and I won't buy it..

With all the other things, such as buying longer cables, buying a longer fuel line, a chain tensioner - I'm familiar with all that, I also know that I'll need 36 spoke wheels for a classic rosette ...

PS: I'm sending the engine I want to put there in a photo to the post - its a classic 49cc engine kitView attachment 118120

Thank you very much and have a nice day :)))

These bikes can be very tricky for a newbie to build... The main issues will be that both chains will have to be re-routed using extra chain tensioners to keep from hitting the frame rails & the engine itself... It's going to be better to weld the chain tensioners to the frame rather that bolting them on because they will move out of alignment over time & cause problems.
You'll also have to make a custom front engine mount

You shouldn't have to bend the rear of the frame; but the clearance between the new engine sprocket & the frame will be very tight.

I built a few of these over the years & I'm sure there's threads on them here that you can reference.

Yes, I'm okay with all these things.. I already ordered the front motor mount - it's the thick cnc ring with the mount...

I can't weld the chain tensioners on because in my country (Czech Republic) there's such a stupid law that in order to ride it legally, I'm not allowed to interfere with the frame construction in any way... but that doesn't matter, I can easily buy new tensioners for a few dollars :) ...

I have no problem with all these things you wrote, I can easily handle them...

So you're saying that when I put the motor on the bike, both rosettes (the one coming out of the motor and the one on the rear wheel) will be in one axis ? That's the only thing I'm worried about... I can easily deal with all the others... Please just tell me about this thing with the axis of the rosettes and the chain

PS : I was ordeter this mount ( picture ) but i think will be better when i order another one to mount engine on back too
