Predator 212 oil for no shroud vertical cylinder

How much oil should I put in with this engine mounted with the cylinder upright? And the manual recommends 10w-30 and straight 30 for the higher temps. I'm planning to run with no shrouds, so should I change to something else or go by the manual?

24 ounces of oil for upright 212cc.

Ok so I put 24oz but man it is really gushing out the breather!! I had to make a tube for the stuff to come out under the bottom bracket. Is there some way to get it to circulate back into the block?

I have no problem With 24oz looks like another member has same results with 24 oz.Then there's 2 choices by another member has 22oz and 20oz. I wonder if it varies because of angle of mount?

Woah. Nice engine mount man. Looks very solid.

Well I put 20oz 10w-30 and 1oz zinc additive for the flat tappets. My motor is angled just a tiny bit back from vertical but that might change soon. Been running it all day and it's sweet with not so much coming out as with 24.
