...couldn't help but reference the Austin Powers line...

New guy here looking at all this motorized bike stuff. Have a garage full of bikes and a couple of go-peds that my kids zoom around on.

Now I want something for me. Leaning towards a friction drive setup to start with.

Lots of great info!

PAPPYDC, WELCOME. FRICTION DRIVES ARE FINE. WHEN IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE, IT IS MUCH EASIER TO GET A MOTOR WITH THE 78MM CLUTCH. IMHO. IF MONEY IS REAL TITE, WHICH IT IS FOR MANY OF US, a-dam BUILt A GOOD WORKING WEEDWACKER FOR CHEAP. CHECK OUT HIS POSTS FOR IDEAS. RON

Welcome to Mototbicycling.com PappyDC,

If you really want to learn the sport/art and the In's and out of motorized bike's, this is the place to be, these guys really know there stuff.

I've been here about seven weeks or so, and have built my first bike (still working out the bugs) but I luv it, I plane to build as many as I possibly can. lol
