Pk80 wildcat over heating(?)

I realized that the ported pk80 is going to run hotter than normal, but how much hotter?

It feels like it's hotter than it should be. Could it be that I am starving it for gas? I can't tell by my spark plug . And should I add a little bit extra 2 stroke oil than what I'm used to running?

Adding more oil actually makes it even leaner.
Your best bet is to increase the jet size a little & see how it runs.

I lowered the clip on the needle and re adjusted the carb and it works perfectly. I'm actually surprised at the gas mileage I'm getting. For being souped-up motor it runs so much smoother and efficiently.
