I saw that video quite a while ago and as a Californian rider I was
amazed that the dude at Phantom bikes managed to put one over
on Leno by telling him that all you need to legally ride a motorized bike
in CA was to be over 16 and wear a helmet.

Of course that is total BS and just more distortion from a Motorized
Bicycle vendor so they can make more sales and sell bikes to guys
with no licenses?
Phantom bikes really can't be that ignorant, can they?

It wasn't a casual mention and was repeated several times and even
made a point of by Leno in the video.
 
We sure don't want some LA gang bangers to be riding around unlicensed running ammuck on a motorized bike terrorizing the neighborhood LOL

See old codgers like me kinda like to rile up young folks so the cops will be busy harassing them all the while they think they are standing up for their rights...kinda comical.

No one ever tells the truth in the media anyway, either by design, or ignorance. It's a little late to start complaining about that now lol. The important thing is getting a motor bicycle on TV in the first place.
