Petcock broke flush with the gas tank

Pretty miserable right now. As some of you may know, I just recently remounted my engine and got everything working. The last part would be to install the fuel valve and line. To my surprise, I tighten the valve and SNAP, the threading brakes off flush with the tank, gasoline pours EVERYWHERE all over my bike and ground, reeks. I then put a container beneath the tank, let it drain, removed the new $40 tank and hopefully can remove the valve threading from the tank. Do you guys have advice for removing the broken piece or do I need another new tank.
 
I had a similar experience years ago on an old motorcycle gas tank and I used a large easy out to get out the threaded part. A little penetrating oil can also help it come out easier. You will probably need someone to hold the gas tank for you while you work the easy out to prevent it getting scratched up. Here is a U tube video that shows them in use. Good luck.

Another couple options option if the easy out wont fit...

left handed drill bit.

JB Weld an allen wrench into the hole and rotate the fitting out. Just thought of this one. I'll let the genius of the idea sink in a bit. :)
