Pedal start a 4 stroke ?

A very new guy question, but can the 4 stroke engine kits be pedal started like the 2 strokes ?

I ask because I thought I read somewhere that a 4 stroke hooked-up to a StageIII Trans with an engager lever, could be started by pedaling and releasing the lever. Is that true ?
And what about the 4G, can a 4 stroke engine with a 4G Trans be pedal started ?

Correct, there is no EASY or GOOD way without the ability to machine your own parts...

Am I reading this wrong ? What does this mean ? It is taken from the site that sells the 4Stroke kit with the Stage III ?

"When you want to engage the engine simply release the clutch hand lever and the engine springs to life. To power off simply press the included kill switch."

You can pedal start a 4-stroke if it is direct friction drive.....no centrifugal clutch
If you want to disengage it you'll have to make a hinged motor bracket.
