old type twist throttle

OK noob question,
i got an old twist throttle do you just unscrew the 2 bolts and pull off as i need to take the brake lever off , then just put it back on and screw bolts back ?? (the throttle came on the bike i did not put it on )

pretty straight forward.

Some throttles have a pin going into a hole in the bars to prevent the entire assembly from turning. Be sure it's loose enough to allow the pin to come free from the hole. Loosen the screws all the way if it does not slide off easily.
